Hope Park Cottage

Hope Park Cottage is a classic, historical cottage with lots of character located in the Shropshire Hill’s Area of Natural Beauty.
We were asked to design a one-storey large extension that provides much needed space to this compact cottage.
The project includes demolishing the existing garage and creating a new pitched extension that links through to the refurbished and converted pig sty with a flat roofed glass link that allows the views of the traditional cottage to remain.
The main challenge with this project was designing an extension that is useable, modern and open which utilises all the features and requirements of modern day living, whilst also maintaining the historical features of the property.
